We check the deck for moisture damage with a Protimeter pin meter, replace any compromised underlayment, and weave new CertainTeed Landmark shingles into the existing pattern.

Metal Roofing

Shingle Roofing
GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles with StrikeZone nailing area. The highest-selling shingle in North America. Impact-rated to UL 2218 Class 4 when installed with the full GAF Roof System. Our Burns crews install Timberline in the full system configuration to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty. ASTM D3462 and D7158 Class H certified.
Flat Roofing
Commercial flat roof replacement in Burns starts with a core sample to check the existing insulation. If it's waterlogged, everything comes off. If it's dry, we can sometimes overlay. Saves you $2-$4 per square foot.
Commercial Roofing
We install Carlisle SynTec TPO and EPDM membrane systems with full Carlisle manufacturer warranties. Our Burns commercial roofing crews are factory-trained and authorized. TPO seams are hot-air welded at 900+ degrees. The weld is stronger than the membrane itself. Ponding water? We install tapered ISO insulation to create positive drainage per NRCA guidelines.
Gutter Installation
Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts. That's the premium install. We solder joints on-site using 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper develops a natural patina in Tennessee's climate within 5-7 years. For aluminum, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless with Raytec hidden hangers rated to hold 25 lbs per linear foot of ice and debris load.
Roof Inspection
Annual roof inspections catch small problems before they become expensive ones. A cracked pipe boot is a $150 fix. Ignoring it means $3,000 in ceiling and wall water damage. We recommend an inspection every 2-3 years for roofs under 10 years old, and annually after that.

Skylight Installation
A skylight installed wrong will leak. The flashing has to integrate with the shingle courses. Step flashing on the sides, headwall flashing on top, and a sill pan underneath. We use manufacturer flashing kits because they're engineered to work with the skylight frame.
